The following strategies for addressing online gender-based violence were developed by a team of experts and global contributors as part of and following the Tech Policy Design Lab on OGBV.
Tackling OGBV requires action from a multitude of stakeholders at all levels and across all sectors. From caring for the individuals most affected and centering their experience, to effecting change at the government level, ending OGBV needs to be prioritized for the benefit of greater society.
We can develop policy frameworks, products and services that address OGBV by bringing together governments, companies and civil society in a collaborative environment, and using design thinking.
A combination of regulation, awareness and best business practice is essential to tackle OBGV in all its forms. Civil society, tech companies and government stakeholders all have roles to play.
